Selected as one of “Mississippi’s Favorite Artists,” and blue ribbon winner of the PBS - WYES award, of New Orleans. Pat is an award winning Southerner Painter that manipulates the elements of light and dark, known as representational "chiaroscuro": to imbue mystery and emotion in still life, portraits and landscapes. "From the Art of New York: 110 New York and Gulf Coast Artists"

From February 22 to 28, 2006 at The World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York City, West Street between Vesey and Liberty Streets, "From the Art of New York" will present a free weeklong art exhibition. From the Art of New York was conceived in New York City while New Orleans was still flooding. New York City artists wanted to reach out to the arts communities affected by the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast. The effort has grown to feature more than 110 New York and Gulf Coast artists, including Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Yoko Ono, George Rodrigue, LeRoy Neiman, Peter Max, Robert Rauschenberg, Tom Otterness, Melissa Bonin, Alexander Stolin, Jean Seidenberg, Thomas Bruno, Bill Jonas, Steven Forster, Ron Bechet, Lory Lockwood, Herbert Singleton, Chris Guarisco, Albert Duquesnay, and many more.
The exhibition culminates with a private, ticketed Mardi Gras Gala on Tuesday evening, February 28, 2006.
From the Art of New York's Founder and Chair Stephanie Simon is an Arts Reporter and Producer for NY1 News, Time Warner's 24 hour news channel in New York City. She is based in New York City, where she covers visual arts as well as the local jazz scene. Host Committee Member Katie Landry recently returned to New Orleans to enter the MBA program at Tulane University. She is coordinating the shipment of artwork from New Orleans to New York.
